Do you remember the hobbit home I made some time ago, out of a tin can and wood? A dear friend wanted to have one for someone in her family, who really loves Tolkien’s books. So here it is, the third hobbit home I’ve made – my gift to her! Not identical to the other two: as there are no two hobbits exactly alike, there are no two hobbit homes exactly the same. The wood I used had different shapes, and each time I get different ideas about how to use the materials at hand. It’s a little home, with grass on top, a cozy home, painted in acrylics, made using wood, fabric, dried up moss, rocks and… a tin can. I’m rather fond of the little wooden lantern I carved and placed above the entrance. The house door can be opened, so you can actually store things inside.
