“Perfection has a price, but I cannot afford to live that life. It always ends the same… a fight I never win.” – lyrics from one of JJ Heller’s songs. (She’s an American Christian folk singer whose music I greatly enjoy.)
God is perfect. We are flawed and might as well come to terms with it. It’s liberating. Perfectionism can only paralyze and bring despair.
Isn’t it wonderful that perfection is not necessary for some measure of beauty to exist? Even here, even now. Cracks and all.
